Perinatal depression and postpartum depression can have disastrous results for a woman and her new baby. New mothers with depression must seek help as soon as symptoms begin. Hypnotherapy and hypnosis have been known to help women to overcome this type of depression. Because of the potentially severe consequences of this illness, women with depression should seek help as soon as symptoms begin. Hypnotherapy and hypnosis offer a safe, non-invasive, drug-free alternative to treating these very real conditions.

Insomnia plagues far too many people. Our modern world is filled with too much stimuli and not enough downtime. Stimulants, depressants and other mood altering agents affect our mind's natural ability to process and release information. Consequently, more and more people have trouble sleeping.

If you suffer from insomnia you know how frustrating it is to go to bed, wishing for a good night's sleep, only to lay awake for hours, tossing and turning, becoming more and more anxious about the sleep you're not getting.

Confidence. It's the often elusive feeling that you know yourself and why you're here. Confident people think clearly, communicate with ease and attract success. Whether in a social or business setting, these are the people that project a can-do attitude. They aren't arrogant ... simply comfortable in their own skin. You want to be near them. You want to be them.

Hypnosis and Weightloss part 3

These days it seems almost everyone wants to lose a few pounds. It's on of the most common reasons why people come to see me. For years hypnosis or hypnotherapy and weight loss have gone together. Why? For obvious and not so obvious reasons. The obvious reason is that works. By helping the psyche to resolve conflicts and sending the right message it works.

Hypnosis and Weightloss part 2

In one of my previous articles, I discussed how therapy and hypnosis come together to solve issues like excessive weight. The blending of these two disciplines is hypnotherapy. Your response to the notion that some of the negative or false images that we have in our conscious and subconscious mind that keep us from achieving our desired result was overwhelming. Many of you asked that I tell you more about how you might be sabotaging your own success.

Hypnosis and hypnotherapy have profound benefits. For years they've been touted as a panacea making them unbelievable by most "practical-minded" people. The reality is that hypnosis and hypnotherapy are sound therapies that help a host of issues. They work by empowering the mind to work in a focused manner toward resolving a specific issue.

Sir Anthony Hopkins used hypnosis to help him quit smoking. It worked for an actor of his calibur ... can it work for you?

Obesity is an epidemic in our society. While doctors send people to nutritionists and personal trainers to help their children, there are other viable options to help these children. Hypnosis and Hypnotherapy can help children to shed unwanted and unhealthy pounds. It does not replace the services of a trained nutritionist or a trained personal trainer but is an integral part of the solution.

Transformational Imagery

Images are used on us everyday, thousands of times in a day. Have you ever watched television? Of course, you have. How about video clips on the computer? They flash thousands of images before your eyes. What about the radio? Radio gives you words and suggestions that then get interpreted into images in your mind. Advertisers use images and suggestions to make their product stand out to us at a supermarket.

So why is it so hard for us to believe in transformational imagery, when it comes to helping ourselves?

Hypnosis and hypnotherapy focus on reprogramming the subconscious mind. But how do you know what to reprogram. While most of us can pretty easily figure out what is going on in our conscious minds, understanding the unconscious mind can appear to be a difficult, if not impossible task.
