Kristi Yamaguchi Kristi Yamaguchi dazzled the world almost 20 years ago when she won a gold medal at Albertville, France. Years later she stepped out in a different direction on "Dancing with the Stars." Today the former figure skating champion is still held as one of America's favorite athletes. Not one to rest on her laurels, she's taken to to pursuing success in different arenas today.
Yamaguchi, who will turn 40 in the summer of 2011, is now a New York Times best-selling author and the star of a her own workout DVD.
Her foray into the realm of children's
books, with a picture book about a pig who learns how to ice skate called Dream Big, Little Pig! was released at the beginning of the March and is already No. 2 on the New York Times best-seller list among children's books.
Kristi also just released a workout DVD called Kristi Yamaguchi: Power Workout, so that you can follow
her fitness regime. Depicted on the cover, she is as lovely as
she was when she beat Midori Ito in the 1992 Winter Olympics.
